I recently started to notice an odor from my scalp and hair. What can be causeing it and what can I do to get rid of the smell besides the obvious answer of washing it. I've been going to bed with my hair damp lately in the evenings may this cause some sort of bacteria to form on my scalp overnight. Need some tips on what I can use and what to avoid doing . Should I blowdry my hair before going to bed or let it air dry completely.

it could be because of that, try and shampoo then pour Listerine or Sea breeze over your head. Let that sit about 5 to 10 mins. rinse and condition, dry. Good luck

Yesss, damp hair produces odor.
I don't know if it is to do with bacteria or not though. Haven't you ever heard (or indeed experienced) that wet dogs smell?

Make sure you change your pillows cases often aswell.
