I think the problem is: (-1)^(-3) - 1^(-2) - 1^2

(-1)^(-3) - 1^(-2) - 1^2
= [1/(-1)^3] - [1/(1^2)] - 1^2
= [1/(-1)] - [1/(1)] - 1
= -1 -1 -1
= -3

??? are you having difficultly multiplying 1 by itself? The only challenging thing about this is keeping track fo the negatives... why don't you show YOUR work and we'll help point out where you may have gone wrong?

Dude -- you've posted at least two other problems of the exact same type. I urge you to speak with your teacher tomorrow and let him/her know that you need more help understanding these equations.
