there are a number of ways of doing this. the most common(if he or she is a shout away is just that , to shout"hey!!!(insert name of friend here."or if the said friend has done something to offend you then you would probadly call them something that you would'nt use in polite company.
in these modern days , there is the mobile phone.if you already have their number then you can call, sms or mms and if you have their e-mail address then you can e-mail them or use im(instant messaging) or voice over internet. of course if you don't then you probadly ask someone who does.if this doesn't answer your question then maybe you need to elaborate God bless, gabe
