homecoming dance is this saturday and I dont have a date(yet). I was thinking about going with my friends, but they all have dates already, so now Im thinking about going alone. Im not sure if I want to go so bad tho cuz there will be more dances later this year. how bad/good is it to go dateless? do you think i should risk being bored, or should I just stay home? thanks in advance!

yes its highschool, and yes I am a freshman. I wouldnt have this problem if it were still middle school!

You've got a good bunch of encouragement here & I agree. Go & have a wonderful time & who knows...you've still got a shot of someone asking before Saturday! Don't ask a relative! Maybe a friend but certainly not a male relative. A female cousin or sumthin is different, to show off your school friends with your female cousin would be ideal next to being asked by some shrewd dude in the meantime! I would go because think about it your not the only one without a date it may seem like it but im sure you will run into someone at the dance surely someone will get dumped.

I'm sure they'll be plenty of people there that go alone. Maybe you will find a date at the dance. If not, have fun anyway.

Go or you will regret it later, besides at dances they hardly ever play slow songs so you can dance with all your friends during the fast ones.

Can you ask a friend that's a boy that doesn't go to your school? If not, I say go alone. If most of your friends will be there and you are bound to have fun. Don't miss it because you don't have a date-that's lame. Women don't have to rely on men to enjoy themselves. If it stinks you can always leave.

You won't be bored! I guarantee you'll find a few boys without dates and be able to have so much fun with them. Going without a date shows that you don't need a man to make you happy. You'll be able to mingle where your friends will be stuck with their boring dates. Have a great time!

if you want to go, just go. Not having a date shouldn't hold you back from having fun at the maybe last dance.

I never went to dances. They were a bore me. I stayed home and hung out with friends.
If its really that big of a decision about how or whether to go, then it cant be worth it.

sure and no. In my on a daily basis life i'm spiritually traveling on my own. yet luckily I actually have a chum that I met right here, who shares my direction with me from afar. And we help eachother alongside the way. :)

I think if your comfortable with your school mates then go alone! ya never know someone could be there alone just like you and y'all can hook up for a dance! have fun and be smart! ♥
