To soothe an earache at home: warm up some olive oil,(test on the inside of your wrist, just like for a baby's bottle), lie on your side, and place a ball of cotton soaked in the warm olive oil (and squeezed out a little), in the affected ear, then cover that with a warm washcloth, relax for about five minutes. Repeat every half an hour for 90 minutes or so. Also, drink plenty of water, herbal teas, and eat healthy. Take extra good care of yourself when you are not feeling well. Peace.

There is some earache solution you can buy over the counter at Walgreens. I forget what it's called, but I've used it before and it helps for a little while. If it lasts a while, make sure to see an ENT because they can use a special instrument to clean your ears if they're infected and it feels wonderful.

Warm olive oil poured into the ear canal can relieve some discomfort. Olive oil is the same thing as sweet oil sold in little bottles at drug stores. Also try an oral anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen to help with the pain and reduce some of the swelling.

Ear aches are usually caused by pressure behind the ear drum. Could be an infection. To relieve the pain a warm moist wash cloth can help. You should see a doctor before it gets worse. Your eardrum could burst if it is not taken care of properly.

warm sweet oil. You can buy it anywhere (even grocery stores). Put it in a spoon and warm with a lighter or something. Pour it in ear and let sit for a few minutes.
