Homo sapiens sapiens is a living parody. By nature we generalize (we are adaptive etc.) At the very same time, we have specialized in certain skills while having cast aside other skills that humanity has distaste for. For example, the ability to use physical prowess for survival has been lost over the (thousands of) years. The aggression has turned inward; or we tend to rely on machines and rules to assert our aggression; or we assign physical prowess to the area of athletics.
I foresee humanity relying more and more on our brainpower and social adaptability. Perhaps some day we would altogether lose our need to even have a robust physique. Our superior brain, that has enabled us to come this far, might spell our own ultimate demise.

Doubtful. We may kill ourselves off or not but evolution has to do with the survival of the species and not the elimination.
It is our diversity that protects our species from viruses and bacteria and total elimination.
If our species lives long enough, humans in one million years may be conserably different. In fact, if we colonize other planets, we will adapt to differnent atmospheres, pressures, gravities, and other environmental factors. Our descendants may even become unrecognizable as humans but there should always be a genetic relation.

One way or another, humans will cease to exist - at least as we know humans now. All species have a limited existence.

Eventually, yes, depending on the degree of specialization, and what becomes missing or degraded in our environment, this is an obvious scenario

It seems we are a rather generalized species, actually.
