Our history really isn't that nice. Please don't think that this question is just for white people. If you can give me atleast one good reason, I'll stop wearing my shirt that says "I hate being white".

Heavy is the head that wears the crown. We are the superior race. Haven't you noticed everytime there is a problem in this world we have to fix it. We are the ones going into space, to the bottom of the oceans. We or the ones coming up with the cures for the diseases that are killing the other races. It's up to us to do everything, if the gates of hell open up on this planet white men will be the ones there to fight Satan hisself.
The smartest people in this world has been white, the Asians are smarter but they seem to stay to themselves. We are the best of all things, we are Gods chosen people. We can show tremendous amounts of love and also fight hard for the love of others. He sacrifice our life's for everyone else on this world, we are the most brave and very proud of it.
Other races whine to much about things, we don't. When I feel like I can't carry on anymore I think about when my kind were slaves to the Romans. During that time if I fell to my knees the first inspiration I'd feel is a whip across my back, if that didn't work then the sound of a sword leaving it's sheath would be the last thing I'd hear because if I didn't get up I'd never rise again. Nothing good in this world has come without sacrifice.

If you find that you have absolutely nothing else to be proud of and that is all you have left, then you will either have to be proud of being white or be ashamed of everything about yourself.
Which is what you are already doing with that shirt. Being ashamed because you don't have any other thing to be proud of.
Whose history is very nice? I mean besides Tibetans? Every nation that exists as a nation today has a history of being violent, merciless warriors. Otherwise, they didn't survive. Any person could choose to be proud or ashamed of their heritage, but it doesn't need to come to that if you have any personal qualities instead of just being an ethnicity.

You need to understand that even if the other colors was offended by white ways they would not have what they have now. No other race has advanced like white did. Yes there are bad in all. But have you ever heard of whites being cantabiles? Whites was able to form a civilization that was able to make it through time and is still the strongest of all. No other race is able to live with others as well.
Whites have gotten off track with Religion and with enslaving others but we was smart enough to free them and educate them so they can catch up with us and be a companion not a follower.
Do you think the tribes in the middle east at this point in life and times would do the same for us if we were the lesser? No they would use us as slaves just like we did in the past to our now companions. Do you think that we as whites would have been more then just a good meal on a weekday night to the blacks if they had not been educated?
You have a lot to be proud of. No other race has come so far so fast. But now we stand the chance of being extinct because of our good nature and good will to man kind. Out side forces are trying to take over and kill us out because we are becoming weak.
Maybe our ways was not so bad because we was at one time amired because of our power and we knew what we wanted. Now we are controled by others which we are forced to give till we are no longer the proud people we once was.
Black power where is the white power?
BET where is WET
the list goes on and on. Whites have given up everything to other races and we are still trying to give. If you notice they keep taking and demanding more.
So be proud and try to take back what little pride we have left..

The history that you talk of was not made by you.
Don't play the blame game. That is very easy my friend, blame it on others.Why not do something that'll put your name in the chronicles of history as the - Good White Guy
There is always another side of the coin - If the white guys hadn't occupied America would she be what she is today, in terms of progress ? If the Brits hadn't made colonies all over the world would there have been any progress in those nations ?.
I am an Indian, proud to be one, living in my own country, trying to do my bit.

You should never hate who you are. Hate is a disruptive force. Some wonderful as well as some terrible things have been done by people who were white (the same can be said of other races as well). You certainly shouldn't generalize the actions of some people of your race to the entire race & you certainly should not hate the fact that you were born a member of that race. You should be proud of who you are & where you came from.

Each group have their achievements and failures. In many history books in the United States (both US history and world history), it gives a Euro-centric point of view, while ignoring the other aspects of history or giving a little view of it. Like in a world history book, it may have Asia and the Middle East with their own chapters, but for Europe, it is broken up into specific eras (ancient Greece and Rome, Middle Ages, French Revolution, etc). In the US history books, it focuses mainly on the European Americans.

Oh come on! You are who you are, its that simple. You should be happy being YOU! Regardless of color, it shouldn't really matter,ALL colors have a "Nasty" history if you dig a little deeper. Its not like your wearing it on your shirt that you supported your ancestors from England!! And that your proud to be a narrow-minded white guy! Just kidding! But, for real, be real. You can't change the past, but you can modify our future!

Im african-american my history "doesnt seem nice" when portrayed by all the books and media. Your white im black. You should enjoy who you are! Even though the media sometimes makes blacks seem lazy,dumb,poor etc, i dont believe that i am. I may be black but that doesnt mean i have to portray that streotype. You shouldt hate being white your history might say that your ancestors were slave owners and treated africans/americans badly you dont so dont look down buddy look up put a smile on your face. "Im proud to be who i am"

You are so funny. Everything done by your race hasn't been negative. You should be proud of yourself just for being sensitive enough to notice the horrible things that were done. Be proud of yourself and don't judge yourself by others' actions.
