In June 1983, one other person and I on a flight to London, saw the underground city about two to three hours West of Heathrow Airport. As I recall it was about 3 or 4 Oclock in the afternoon, and a very bright sunny day. The pilot had started decending from the higher altitude. I have contacted many individual and companies through the years, and no one seem to have any idea what we saw. I am serious, and this is not a prank or joke. I really appreciate those who are sincere in trying to help solve this mystery for me.

I can't answer your questuon, however there as maps that show what is the make up of the ocean floor also what is on the ocean floor.
As your nearest coastguard station for the name of their almanac, or the maps used to find bits and bobs on the ocean floor etc.
you can tell them why you are interested and they may get interested.
The coastguard does have a user friendly number not only 999.
Let us know what you find.

Perhaps that city is in fact some sort of crystalline rocks and caves underwater which give this picture of an underwater city.

I really hope that something like an undersea city would exists, but many of the geographical terrains underwater plus sunlight reflections can be very spectacular to resemble a structure of a city.

I've saw one in National Geographic The Living Edens where they were filming the marine life in Palau (some island in the pacific), wow, the place looks awesome, it gives me the feeling of being inside Atlantis.

Where were you flying from? West of London assumes you were flying in from the Atlantic.

What concerns me is that if it was way out in the Atlantic, it would be over 10,000 feet deep, and you aint gonna see anything at that depth.

If it was closer to UK, it could be on the continental shelf, but that has its own problems. That area is probably the most fished on shelf in the world, and don't you think fishermen would have seen it, caught their nets in it or brought stuff up from it.

The other thing is that though from the air a lot of landmarks are visible that one cannot see on the ground, the ocean is quite opaque when seen from any height, especially this area of the North Atlantic. That's unless the area is very shallow, in which case, everyone and his dog would have seen it.

Hey, Britain used to have the most shipping and the biggest navy, don't you think if the water was that shallow, thousands of sailors would have seen this thing.

No, I think you are talking complete cr@p.

The only underwater city I have ever heard of is Atlantis. They have found ruins of a city and believe it is Atlantis, but who knows after all these thousands of years.
There were walls, roads, and boat shipping yards in the ruins. The husband and wife team along with others said this is the closest any one has come to finding Atlantis. Maybe you caught a glimpse of it also.

My guess is you saw a mirage. The image of a city reflected off the atmosphere, back off the water and into your eyes. It just appeared to have been underwater.
