If you're talking about politicians, they could be, but then the Republicans would be like the elves in Lord of the Rings too-considering there is no real difference. As far as the population in general-I wouldn't have the foggiest because of all the angles of elfhood that you could consider. Most Democrats are blue-collared/skilled tradesmen, so I'd venture the guess that they're physically strong, have medical issues that a benefits package takes care of, and like to ***** about everything-and probably get paid well to do next to nothing.

they are many blonde elves in Lord of the rings. while you're speaking approximately Legolas - Orlando Bloom, then i think of he's sizzling warm in LOTR. I think Democrat men are more like the Hobbit wussies. They have to search and search to find even ONE that has enough stamina to stand up and get a job done. The rest ignore reality, working their little herb gardens and smoking their little weeds, waiting for a Wizard to come along and 'save' them, but the Wizard who they need is actually a Republican, and his name was Teddy Roosevelt; the last man to stand against the System of Systems that the corporations built.
There are Wizards, but the Democrats are too tied up with love and dope to realize the dope is coming from the System and their love is blinding them to the realities of overconsumption, compromise, and tax complexity.
Democrats need to embrace two things only: the Fair Tax and Open Records. Until then, they don't have a chance. They might squeak out an election, but they have no Elvish wisdom.
