He says age dont matter, but deep down I wonder. We have a really good time when we are together. What exactly do you guys think?

Trust me, age doesn't matter. My girfriend of 5 years is 21 years older than me and we are having the best time of our lives. The important thing is to have a special connection with each other and being able to communicate about anything. It also helps that we are best friends too. I won't lie to you because there have been times when the age difference does show (family reunions come to mind) but you do get used to it. Now, I don't give it a second thought.

Don't look for anything too serious with a twenty-year-old. The sex might be good, and you might be having a good time with him; but if you're hoping for marriage or—at the least—a future with him, don't hold your breath.

Think back to when you were twenty; and remember your goals, what you wanted in life, and the degree to which you wanted to be tied down in a relationship. Also, think about how your core values and opinions changed DRASTICALLY between the ages of twenty and twenty-three. That should give you all the information you need.

By the way: Does age matter? Realistically, it probably does. You two are from different generations! You *could* be his mother! And really, the guy is still a kid. He's still trying to figure himself out (as you were when you were twenty).

This doesn't mean you two shouldn't keep having fun, though. Just don't get too invested in the relationship. It won't go anywhere. Sorry, but the truth hurts.

a 20 year old guy is thinking with the wrong head here. he is almost always interested in only one thing. Women in their 30's are still young and gorgeous to a 20 yr old.... but they are not looking for a relatonship...just sex.

I was 20 and dating a 39 yr old... he whole thing played out in just 6 months.... We had nothing in common but sex... How could we being born so far apart..

He may tell you he doesn't care about the age.... but deep down inside, he dosen't invision the relationship as a long term thing either... He may not admit it though...

Just move on unless it's all about the sex for you too...

I'm 39 and my bf is 28, I wouldn't have given him a second thought if we met when he was 20. I think it's more to do with a maturity level. He and I kind of meet in the middle. You may have a good time when you're together but if you're thinking of a relationship, it's really how you get along when things aren't so good, dealing with day to day stress.

Listen to Turd Ferguson. He'll grow up and become a different person. You'll stay about the same. And he'll eventually want out.

I can't believe I said listen to someone who calls himself Turd. Anyway...

Will, dude, were you actually dating a 17 year old when you were 27 or 28? Or was she 18 by then?

I think 20 is too young for you, if he was a little older could be ok, but 20 with 34 I don't think so, he still a baby!!!!!!!!

Don't obsess so much with age. Have a good time and forget about what other people think. If he was worried about your age, he wouldn't be going out with you!

sometimes it doesn't.... i am almost 29 (next month) and mine is just 18....we've been together for almost a year and are now married.... if he says it doesn't then accept that even if it does later.... would it be worth the laughs and fun now? there's a blessing in every lesson.... and just be glad that you know him at all....
