Dear Suzanne, <---- (If you don't know the name say Sir/Madam)

(Now write all that you want to say. Keep your text in brief easy to read, to-the-point sections.)

This is just a brief letter of appreciation regarding your decision on infringement notice 503526 which I received for using a vehicle without a current licence. You decided not to enforce the notice.

The money otherwise used for paying the infringement fee has been put to good use registering the vehicle.

Thank you for considering my explanation fair-mindedly.

Kind regards, <--- Include a nice salutation

That is a formal letter I wrote. The top sentences (my address) should be aligned to the right, not to the left.

You can also have your address and phone number in the Footer.

I agree with another...this is an important transaction. You want to be sure the paperwork is in order to protect you. Hire an attorney to write up a simple lease w/option contract. Should not cost very much. About the agreed upon price...make sure you get a price written in that reflects approx what you all expect the price to be in 1 year also including that the price will be what the balance owed is at the time of obtaining financing. There could be a couple of issues...for instance, if the owner misses a couple of payments, the balance could be more than it should be. And when looking for financing, an appraisal will be necessary. If the appraisal comes back lower than the balance owed, you will have to come up w/ a down payment. Could end up being alot of $$. Hard to know now. Also, a title insurance policy will be necessary to insure that there are no liens on the property other than the existing mortgage and to make sure that the man you are dealing with is the legal owner. Also checks for tax issues. When you look for financing about 2 months before the year is up or sooner, the mortgage company will charge you fees for doing the mortgage paperwork, called closing costs, along with at least a 3.5% down payment. Be prepared to have cash ready. Closing costs + down payment will be a minimum of 7% of the price of the loan.

surf the web for writing workshop websites. Formal paper can mean just about anything. Research? If so, you'll need MLA standards for quotations etc.

Depends on the kind of paper you are trying to write...I am sure you can search Google, if you haven't tried that.
