I'm on tricyclen and am planning on having children in the next couple of years. I heard that you should stop taking the pill well in advance before trying to conceive. How long am I supposed to be off the pill?

My doctor said you don't have to get off the pill early...he said you can get pregnant the following month when your normal period comes back. Some people say you have to get off the pill & wait 3 months before TTC but my doctor says you don't have to wait that long. I asked him that last week because I was wondering myself. I would like to TTC in the next year or so!
Good Luck!! :)

can take up to a year for it to leave your system so stop 1 year before you plan to have a baby. but remember you can get pregnant at any time in that year.
