What kind of comparison is that to make? One is a game console and the other is an mp3 player. Functionally they somewhat overlap, since you can save custom soundtracks on the 360's harddrive and use it to play CDs, but they're totally different machines otherwise.
If you want to play games, get a 360. If you want to listen to music on the go, get the iPod.

360 for sure. Can't believe you even have to consider between the 2. The 360 is like a computer system which can do music, movie clips, games, and so much more! Go for it!! :)

i have both and i could never use the ipod as much as i use the xbox you can load all your songs on the xbox then listen to music and play games at the same time it holds way more than an ipod plus you can hook it up to your computer and stream all your multimedia crap to it

Xbox - spend hours at a time in front of TV and never interact with anyone.
iPod - walk around outdoors plugged into mp3 player...and never interact with anyone.
At least the iPod gets you out of the house.
