I'm considering to go to the US, but maybe it's very difficult. Some people think Latin Americans are not welcome there. Is this true? I went to US 1 year ago with the company I used to work for and all US people I met, treated me very well. So I really don't know what to think...Thanks!

? bienvido en los ee.uu.

I don't know what kind of difficulties you are expecting....

I would go by the experience you had. Bear in mind that a big chunk of the population here is Latino/latina....so are you afraid of the WASPs? if it wasn't for Mexicans, the country would grind to a halt.

somos todos Americanos.....I am sure you will do fine.

While the government of the U.S. is trying to stir up anti-Latin immigrant feelings, the American people are almost always welcoming and friendly one on one. In addition, many Americans are using the cheap labor of Latin Americans to care for their yards, their homes, their children as well as to build their homes.
If an American lives in a working class family neighborhood and many Latin immigrant males start renting one house nearby and parking many cars on the street in front of that house, this will upset the American because his version of the American dream is being trampled by others newly reaching for the American dream. The problem is not the two 'generations' of Americans, but the housing crop, which offers very little affordable housing.

We are really the melting pot, ppl have been coming from all over the world since and before the birth of USA. ppl who want to "hate", are ignoring USA's history (not perfect but growing), and where the ppl who made the USA came from.

(if that made any sense)

From what I see on the net - southerners are not very welcome at the moment because of the illegal immigrant problem. People will assume you are an illegal immigrant.
