Stop analyzing. I know, that's bad advice. Make a list of all your favorite things to do and all the things you are good at. Do one of those things every single day - even if for only a little while. It will help relieve stress, build your self-esteem, and help you live life to the fullest. make a list of things you would like to try or would like to become better at. Do one of those things every weekend. If you want to volunteer your time, be a Big Brother on Saturday. Staying busy helps you worry less. Relax. Have fun.

In addition to the first answer, as a mom you seem to have carefully protected your son's interactions with other people for his benefit, so you've probably scheduled your life and time to be his primary caregiver, when he's not busy and when you can, and as a mom of a young teen, you will have have to feel good about who he is with and what he is doing while you are away pursuing your own interests -- this is not an excuse as a mother , but simply another obstacle on your path to "being your best you". Otherwise, you should do just fine if you apply the same insightful logic and determination to this desire as you did to help your son. All the best.

get a shoebox, decorate as you desire. put a slot in the top. call this box, "your god box". whenever you find yourself thinking or analyzing about life, that is, things that no matter how much thought you put into it, will not change. write a little note about the dilemma, and put in into your god box. say a little prayer, such as, "God, I have done all I can do with this, I am turning it over to you, thank you for relieving me of this."
then go find something you like to do, or something you have never done, and go live.

See a therapist. That might work or if not he can prescribe you medication. Sounds like a mild case of social anxiety disorder.
