LOL... I've never hear of a hard drive attack but the mental image of a laptop grasping its chest and keeling over gave me a good giggle. Your computer will not let you load more files than it has space for but if there is no free space it may face problems on rebooting.

Restart your computer in safe mode by hitting the f8 key repeatedly as soon as you start it up until the boot menu appears. If it starts in safe mode you can then delete some of the huge files you downloaded to free up space. Also consider upgrading your hard drive or purchasing an external storage device such as http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822136050

Your PC would have told you there was no room left before it crashed. You can probably boot into safe mode and clean the files off. If it doesn;t turn on anymore, i highly doubt it is from the movies being too big. More likely it is from the liquid on the keyboard from the pron you were downloading at the time. haha

you don't have 10gb of MEMORY, you have 10gb of HARD DRIVE space. there's a difference.

you don't UPLOAD anything to the computer (especially from the internet), you DOWNLOAD stuff.

If you tried to overload the hard drive, it would have said that you were out of space and wouldn't let you do it.

So, what did you delete to be able to load extra stuff?

You will not be able to load information more than what your hard drive able to handle, it will cancel the download or it will denied it.
