I think we give them too much attention. If we're willing to pay to watch them then the studios will pay to have them. So really the power is all yours. Instead of paying for a movie donate money to your favorite charity.

One has nothing to do with the other.
Charity should not be enforced. Celebs get what the public is willing to pay for their performances. The poor and sick will always be with us, no matter how much money we divert from our incomes to charitable causes.
The best way to fight disease and poverty is to 1) topple unjust regimes, 2) stop taxing and regulating the life science industry, 3)promote the growth of business through low taxation, less regulation, and 4)aggressively attack the root of much ignorance, the modern education system, which promotes social causes more than hard science, literacy, and non-reconstuctionist history.

Well most celebrities like to visit Africa and most of them donate money to the poor and the sick. For example... i know that U2, Will and Jada Smith donated money.. and Brad nd Angelina Jolie "started" adopting kids from a foreign country. I do agree that they are getting way too much money... but at least paparazzi get revenge at them for their fame.

we pay theri salaries buy choosing as a whole to support them. we also choose as a whole not to support the poor and starving. maybe rather than just asking if celebrities get paid too much you should ask why it is that we are willing to spend so much to be entertained?

Life is not fair.. its us who makes them worth that much by how we pay to see the movies they create or by purchasing the Mag's their in. You can make a different by starting up a non profit organization. One person can make a difference.

I could not agree more but we have other industries that are just as bad and should share the profits. If one works hard then they should be paid accordingly. I like your question.

HOW ABOUT WE TAKE CARE OF THE POOR AND SICK IN OUR OWN COUNTRY FIRST.
HOW ABOUT WE TAKE CARE OF OUR ELDERLY INSTEAD OF THESE CELEBRITIES RUNNING TO THE AID OF OTHER COUNTRIES. OUR ELDERLY ARE TREATED LIKE CRAP HERE IN THE GOOD OLD UNITED STATES...
WE ARE GONNA BE THERE SOMEDAY TOO, AND BY THAT TIME, IT'S GONNA BE REALLY BAD.

I do! Well, that's just the way the world revolves and how it is. It does seem rather unfair and sad.
