Would it change that much at all? If woman and man were equal, then it shouldn't. It'd be pretty cool though as long as Hilary Clinton wasn't the one in office.

I hope it happens in my lifetime that we elect a woman president. Perhaps we would have more negotiations, and no more wars. That is my hope.
I do not see how the DC area would change or be affected by a different gender being president.

There have been women in leadership all over the world. Some have done well, others have not. The same with men in leadership. Some are good leaders, others, well. . .
One concern I have about a woman as president of the US is her capability to handle our dysfunctional congress. The good ol' boys would probably be trying to curry faovr with the First Man so he would use his influence to push through their agenda (lol).
Also, I think terrorists would have a field day, knowing that a woman would be less likely to make the hard decision to send our troops to foreign soil to defend our borders.

I would like to think it wouldn't make a difference, but I think it would. How could your average woman authorize the harsh measures necessary to deal with our national security? How could a mother send other mother's sons off to war or on a black ops missions to take someone out? Maybe they could do it; maybe not. As for DC, maybe someone would plant more flowers, but I doubt even a woman could rid the city of the trash.

Given the political, ethical, and moral compromises any candidate has to make to get elected, let alone govern effectively, I doubt the fact that she was a woman would make any difference at all. A politician has to be a politician first, and an anything else as a very distant second.

What does a woman president have to do with anything? If a woman can't defend THIS nation then she doesn't need to be in the chair. DC is a city on its own. The president has no say so in regards to that city.

In my opinion, I think at this point any president we have is just a figure head (kind of like royalty in England or something like that). I'm sure the president has *some* power, but that amount of power over our everyday lives is minimal.
I think a hamster could be president and we'd be fine. Ok... maybe I shouldn't go *that* far, but you get the point.

i think it would have a small effect like women would get more respect, like in work. and DC wouldn't change much, the president doesn't control it. But i think there is a women that could be president soon, Hillary Clinton.

`Just as with a man, it depends on the woman. Some of the names being tossed around are women. A few might do a good job as president, others wouldn't, just like the men being touted for POTUS.
