Its one really long drama. I like the flick, but , its your basic rags to riches to rags story. Except with a whole lotta blood, guns, swearing, murder and cocaine. Otherwise, its an exceptionaly powerful story everyone should watch at least once.

Yes it does get better although the best part of the whole movie is the last 15-20 minutes.

The first time I sat through that film I hated it. But I saw again and again after college and now its one of my favorite gangster films. Give it another chance sometime and see if you grow to like it. Check out Carlitos Way if you get a chance too.

Lots of coke. Much swearing. Random violence. Sounds like a winning formula, right? Unfortunately, it all comes together in one big "Blah."
