By biological design, women have greater strength through the hips and pelvic gridle. The center of gravity is different due to womens hip joints being further to the inside of a women instead of the outside of the hip as it is in men. These factors would give a slight advantage to women so far as flipping an opponent, although in matters regarding overall strength and size, the advantage would still obviously go the the male. A well trained woman would be a dangerous adversary to an untrained male- and probably be a challenge to a trained male as well. I wouldn't say the legs are stronger, but the differences would be to the woman's advantage. It is simple biology, ladies' hips do far more for them than just get a man's attention.

This theory depends on the two persons being compared. If all things are equal i.e. body fat percentage, body weight, height, etc., then no a womam could not beat a man with her legs alone.
One theory that is true in relation to women versus men is that the lower muscles in their back and hips are stronger than men. This is for child bearing reasons so that they may carry easier.

A women's legs are much stronger than her upper body mainly due to the fact that she needs to have strong legs to go through child birth. However, I seriously doubt her legs are stronger than a man's since he has much more muscle mass and a much bigger body than a woman's.
She is just more likely to have a chance to beat a man using her lower body than her upper body.

Womens legs are not necessarily stronger but women, by nature, tend to be more flexible. Plus women generally deal with a whole lot of pain also (thus the child birth thing.)

No, a woman's legs are not extra advantageous than a guy yet a karate instructor advised me that pound consistent with pound a woman's legs ARE AS stable as a guy's. a woman would desire to apply her hips and legs for leverage and throw the guy off stability and then perchance defeat the guy with a scissor choke to the neck.

It's about body weight distribution. Men have a higher proportion of their weight in their upper bodies. Women are the opposite. It's all about taking advantage where you can.

the only thing i could think of was that a woman's center of gravity is lower, so it'll be a lot easier for them to move around, manuever etc.
