With a doppler it depends on your size. Usually 10-13 weeks but can be sooner if you are smaller and later if you are heavier. Some offices also won't start trying till you are in your second trimester so that they don't freak the mom out incase they can't find it that time.

I believe the heart forms around the 5th or 6th week, but its very small, I'm not sure when they are able to hear it. I do know you can see it on the monitor at the end of the first trimester. Hope this helps!

i believe that the earliest the doctor can hear the babys heartbeat is 4 months along.

with the first ultrasound they heard mine at 6 weeks. on a Doppler I didn't have my next appointment until 14 weeks and they could hear it with that. So I would say around t hose times.

I think that it's around 12 weeks before they can hear it and it's around 6 weeks when they can see it on an ultrasound.

I heard my babies heart beat with the vaginal ultrasound...and I was about 8/9 weeks...Now I am 12/13 weeks.
