Is New York Hip hop going down?

Question

Yo I'm hearing a lot of people saying the hip hop scene in New York is stagnent right now because a lot New York rappers make only diss records and not hits. New York rappers complain about the south but the south is unified they got a movement eventhough I'm no fan of the south but I respect their hustle. I am from the east coast but not New York City but what's going with NY hip hop is it going down hill?

It's like a cycle. When rap started out, New York got their shine. Then later on in the early 90's Dr. Dre brought some attention to the West Coast with gangsta rap and G-funk. Now it's the South's turn. But eventually I think that the cycle will repeat itself. Maybe not in the same order, but I think New York will get some shine.

Umm It's Chicken NOODLE soup.Now to the Q.I'm from the South so I'm not really following the North but maybe they are.If they stopped trying to diss people all the time and worry about themselves and try to get a record deal they could probably give the North some respect then they could diss people all they want cause they earned it and everyone would know it.Well that was my thought on the matter hope ya liked it!

The Hip-Hop and Rap culture is all messed up right now. I prefer underground rap and older rap like Immortal Technique and NWA.

its just that right now, everybody up their is layin low cause the south really blowin up, big time, just wait the new york will be in the sport light ago sooner or later, this type of stuff always happens
