Buy a new home, travel and share with your friends and family....and then donate a good chunk of it to a program or organization that helps people. You don't even realize how your money will make a huge difference.

If you have won millions, do not spend the money on all those things you've wanted all your life; like an Aston Martin or an expensive house in an exclusive neighborhood. There are hidden costs with those things.

Wait a year. Think about what you want to do with the rest of your life, and then INVEST!

With a lot of powerball money you can make some pretty conservative investments at first, and then, after two or three years, never have to work again.

But be smart with your money. Don't splurge.

SEnd about $1150 of it to Neodesha, ks. Payable on an old acount at 901 n. 7th street (I do not live there anymore). When the bill is paid, I can get an apartment. I made the mistake of letting a roommate have utilities in my name. WHen I moved I trusted her and the city to have the account changed over. IT never happened. Now all involved will tell you that the bill wasn't run up by me, but I still have to pay it befor ethe city will allow me to have utilities anywhere else.

I know its probably a game, this question, and yes, there are lots of very noble things one could do with the money. Feed the hungrey, clothe the poor. But right now I and my boys are living in my Dad's living room.

It would most likely depend on how much you've won. If it is sizable, pay off some of your debts. Don't go crazy with it, or you will end up back where you started. If you still have a good amount left after that I would talk to a financial adviser, he/she would be the best person to help you invest it if you want to secure your future. I would make sure they were reputable though. Also give a % to your favorite charity. "Give and you shall receive triple fold". Besides, it will feel great! good luck & congrats.

If you had won the Powerball you sure wouldn't be sitting there in front of this screen writing about it! and you wouldn't be asking a bunch of faceless people in a q&a what to do with it.
You silly.
Have you run out of questions?

What would i do be sensible about it, it's not every day that you are going to win powerball, start up a saving account, pay all your bills, buy a house, then use the rest to get drunk in your new house.

Wait a week and then go see your accountant.

But you won't get as much as you thought because I also won yesterday.
