If you paid by credit card, you can contest the charge......especially if you paid by Paypal......Paypal is really good at investigating fraud and helping resolve issues like this.

If you paid cash or check, you may have a problem. I've heart that Ebay doesn't do a great job of policing this area. They might take any the buyers privileges, but that might not help you get your money back.

Are you sure you've given the buyer long enough to get it to you? Are they communicating with you? One time it took 3 weeks for me to receive a DVD I ordered, but it did finally arrive.....but I was mad it took so long because I could have gone to Wal-Mart and bought it for 5 bucks more.......I waited 3 weeks for 5 bucks!!

Anyway, good luck to you. If they really did do you wrong, make sure you leave bad feedback for them to warn others not to buy from them.

Here's the summary of what eBay suggests.
1. Double-check the listing and make sure you have allowed sufficient time for the seller to process the sale and ship it. (as I usually pay immedietely, I expect it to have arrived by 2 weeks later, plus a day or two if I bought on late Fri or during Sat)
2. Email the seller for details on your order. You can use "Ask the seller a question" or request contact information.
3. Double-check your email in case the seller tried to contact you but had their message go into your spam/bulk folder.
4. Make sure your contact information is correct in case the seller has unsuccessfully been trying to contact you.
5. Call the seller. You get the phone number as part of requesting contact information.
6. Depending on which you used to pay, file a complaint with either Paypal or your credit card company. If you used PP to use your credit card, go through PP first.
7. Use eBay's INR/SNaD process. (If you look at the reference page, you'll understand)
8. File a protection claim with eBay.

You'll want to add negative feedback too, but I suggest waiting until you reach the point of reporting the seller first. That way you have given the seller the necessary amount of time to prove they made an honest effort (or lack of). Good luck.

Report buyer to ebay, contact your credit card company, or bank to put a hold on the check, contact the seller first however, could have just been a mistake. It is a serious proceeding, even if you only bought something for about $6, fraud is just as bad as if he had cheated you out of $6,000. That's where they get it all. People decide to not bother for $6, and they get away with it hundreds, perhaps thousands of times. I reported someone and it was a big deal, turned out he stole over $50,000 through fake ads on eBay. He used a library computer, yahoo e-mail, and stolen credit card to collect the money, but they tracked it to the library computer, and grabbed the first guy on eBay at the library, turns out it was him. I got all this in an e-mail from eBay, and got $50 free. Probably should have got more ouyt of those dang rich ebay people, but hey, maybe you can get $50 to buy something on eBay.

First, read the auction terms clearly, contact the seller if you od not get your item within 10 days of payment, if the seller fails to respond, advise them in one finaly email that you will report them to EBAY if they do not respond by a certain date...then report it to EBAY as an item not recieved, and report it to PAYPAL , if you used the, If you used a credit card, stop payment on it. Just knwo that with EBAY, feedback is used in retailation..you can leave negative feedback for this person but expect them to do teh same for you. Hopefully, they don't but if they do, in the your feedback section you can add a comment their feedback explaing what happened. Also, I wantto say that you can get the phone number of the eprson you brought the item from from teh EBAY website and try calling them if you do not hear back from them via email first.

Before you buy something from e-bay , all ways check sellers feedback comments, it'll reflect sellers reputation, Don't caught to any scams.
if you paid for the item, then if you didn't received the item, contact the seller as soon as possible, if the seller is not honest, the only option is to leave a negative feedback.
