ive been trying to add songs on to my ipod shuffle you know,512mb? well i plug it into my computer but intsead of opening itunes it opens as if it were a cd. what can i do to fix it? ive tried to reinstall and everything! i need help!!!

Have you tried formatting the iPod? Your computer may not recognize it. Formatting your iPod will make you lose all your songs, but all you will have to do is drag them back to the iPod!

try restarting your computer and "restarting" your ipod by holding down the "hold" button
