I am scared to trust or get close to him..

If you are scared to trust or get close to people in general, it's a problem and might not say too much about the man involved.
If, on the other hand, you're able in general to have good relationships, to trust people and get close to them, and this man sets off an alarm in your mind/makes you nervous/gives you the creeps, that is your intuition telling you that something here is not good...and your intuition is your friend.
