Clinton and Clinton ticket is possible?

The 22nd Amendment is often described as prohibiting an already twice-elected president, such as Clinton, from again serving as president. But the text of the amendment suggests otherwise. In preventing individuals from being elected to the presidency more than twice, the amendment does not preclude a former president from again assuming the presidency by means other than election, including succession from the vice presidency. If this view is correct, then Clinton is not "constitutionally ineligible to the office of president," and is not barred by the 12th Amendment from being elected vice president.

The 12th Amendment states that "no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States." Thus Bill Clinton, or any other person who cannot be elected president because of the term limits imposed by the 22nd Amendment, could not become Vice President.

Moreover, even if both the Presidency and Vice-Presidency became vacant, and Bill held an office normally in the presidential line of succession (if, say, he were elected Speaker of the House of Representatives), even then he would not be eligible to accede to the Presidency. This is because the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 clearly states that only "such officers as are eligible to the office of President under the Constitution" may act as President in such a situation.

Bottom line: once you have been elected to two terms, or served more than two years of a term to which someone else was elected as well as a term of your own, you can never be president again.

mistamagic28 is correct. He can't serve as VP. He can never be President of the United States again. But who needs the "title" anyways. Just as Hillary Clinton was highly influential in the Wliiam Jefferson Clinton Administration; Bill Clinton, in a Hillary Clinton Administration, would still be the most powerful man in the United States. Remember Robert Kennedy in the John Kennedy Administration. Who doubted that he had his brother's ear and really weilded more power than Lyndon B. Johnson, the Vice President.

The Clinton white house political lawyers have already answered this question when they investigated the idea in 98', they discovered that the constitutional ramifications to this would sent the country into a constitutional crisis. The idea was abandoned. Thank GOD!

Clinton can run for vice-president, but since he is from the same state as Hillary he can not legally run unless he changes his state of voter registeration.

You are correct- but it is unlikely that the American public would support that ticket, so the democratic party has a better chance of Clinton and some other, preferably male, candidate. No way a double female ticket would work either. But Hiliary and a decent guy would have a real shot at the White House.

So why are you telling us this?

It is true. A president cannot be ELECTED more than twice. However, as low as Billy's approval rating was dropping by the end of his second term, I think that Hil would be shooting herself in the **** to have him as her second in command.
