Why are women all over the country stealing babies all of a sudden? I am pregnant and these stories about women being killed for the unborn child, which usually dies, really scare me. It doesn't help that all my pregnancies are unplanned and I know there are people who think I shouldn't even have my kids.

We the common people can only speculate why women go to such drastic extremes for the possession of a baby. Just think how disturbed do you need to be. So summon a little compassion for the mentally disturbed, put in place some simple measures for your own and your baby's protection. All you need is a little common sense and then enjoy your pregnacy because your baby can feel your fear or unhappiness. Good luck and may God bless both of you.

Women steal babies for any one of a number of reasons.
Sometimes they realize that they are getting older and they know they can't get pregnant and they are desperate.
Sometimes they have had a miscarriage and they can't accept that they have lost a baby
Sometimes they have had a number of abortions and they wake up one day and realize that they are getting older and its too late to get pregnant.
Sometimes they have lost a child and want a replacement but are too old or aren't able to have another child.
Sometimes they've told their husbands and families that they are pregnant and it turns out they aren't
and sometimes they are just plain crazy
don't worry about what people think. Just take care of yourself and your babies. I don't know why you think that there are people who think you shouldn't even have your own kids But they are yours. Take care of them.

First off, don't be paranoid about it. Things like this always seem to happen when they relate to you personally. I thought that this was happening allot when I was pg with my son. It's like when I bought my new van, I thought it was an odd color, never saw it, once I bought mine I see it everywhere. I know off the wall example but like I said, some things you just don't notice as much till they can be related to you personally.
As for these very sick and troubled women? I don't know, but I wouldn't fester about it like you are, it isn't good for the baby. Think of all the pregnant women out there right now. We are talking hundreds of thousands if not millions. Well out of all those women and newborns, this has happened to two women. What are the odds it will happen to you? 1:1,000,000?

There is something called the tipping point. When something is glorified as this has, there is an outbreak. Read the book called the Tipping Point to get the whole story. Note, there was a spike in school shootings after Columbine. Same concept. Glorify it and get more of it.

By your own statement, "there are people who think I shouldn't even have my kids" this tells me, you must be either single and really young and/or on welfare.
There are people out there who think, "shoot...I have a job, Ive been married for 10 years and still no kid...then there's her...." then someone pays someone to steal your kid. Stop having unplanned kids so you can stop worrying if somone will steal them or not.

I would not worry myself to death over these happenings.
Most of these girls are unstable. Just know who your true friends are. Never go out alone in this day and age.
