It is not a lagre pond - maybe 3 foot x 2 foot with two goldfish, who have (as far as I know) enjoyed an uninterrupted existence.

Will the cane toads poison the water, or are the fish immune to such things. My thoughts are that the toads will only secrete posiion if agitated....but I could well be wrong?

Any advice? Thanks guys

(I'm in Qld, Australia)

Not worth taking a chance as they breed year-round and the tadpoles are too good a snack for fish to pass up. This site has traps for them

rebe-- Bufo marinus, imported from Africa to consume bugs (and rats) interior the sugar cane fields yet they "have been given away". ? a million meter X a million meter X what?.If the pool is a million ft. or greater deep; no they in all risk won't harm. What the toads prefer is to moist their dermis, grab some bugs as snacks, and lay their eggs. super hundreds of eggs ought to be a topic. If the goldfish are super they'd snack on some toad eggs. The toads urine and dermis are poisonous (watch a canine or cat whilst they grab one). The parotid glands (massive swollen spots between the eyes and ear membrane) are very poisonous and hallucinogenic. Their milky exudate is doubtless one in all the justifications why they have been factors in witch's brew. attempt putting a chicken twine fence, some million foot extreme, around the pond section. that would desire to resign maximum of them. michael

Hi, Cane Toads (I'm assuming Bufo Marinus) won't poison the water just by their presence unless one happens to die, it will foul the water very quickly so keep an eye out! They will also eat small fish if they get the chance.
Good Luck...

i would remove the toads when possible, although they don;t live in the water they are probably there to breed and you don't want any more
