In democracies, every decision taken by the Government is collective decision irrespective of its opposition. Whether we support or not, the decision is "our" own decision.

I think more people support it, but the media is more interested in showing people that oppose it. Most people realize that if we don't fight terrorists on their own soil, we'll be fighting them here in the US. Consider this:

Terrorists hate us.

Terrorists have attacked us many times (9/11, and once before at the WTC, the USS Cole, the Beiruit barracks bombings, the London subway bombings, the spanish railway bombings, and more.

Terrorists are planning more attacks.

Terrorists are trying to get nuclear technology and material.

Do you honestly believe that Al Quaida would decide to not use a nuclear weapon if they had one? They would have that thing in the middle of NYC or Washington DC in a heartbeat if they could.

So ask yourself - do YOU support the war now?

No. What we should do now that we are stuck there, that may be another question. I have the feeling that calls for "cut-and-run" are going to increase in the future. I think the President's plan is pretty clear: Hunker down, insist everything is peachy keen, smear those who say otherwise until January 2009 when the whole mess can be dumped on someone else.

Not anymore! The mood of the country has changed when the number of soldiers multiplied. Now it's almost 2,700 deaths and counting. The people have had enough of this mess Bush has created and they wanted them home now!

I can not speak for everyone, nor can anyone else. Polls can be made to give just about any result that the pollster wants, just by phrasing the question in a certain way.

I can say with certainty that I support the war!

yeah i think so ... there needs to be defined though, more than "just" the war in iraq... it does no good to be against the war and not against the administration that lied to you about the reasons ...and it does no good to be against the war and still believe that we are fighting terrorists by invading and bombing other countries...

No.
The majority of Americans are opposed to the war now.
But it would be worse than hell if we left Iraq now after we destroyed its govt and infrastructure.

Support finishing the job we started yes. The rest I do not care about. We are there, we must finish the job. I am tired of debates from people who have no facts. Those are the liberals for those in Rio Linda.
