You can try a dot of toothpaste on it and let it dry. Then see what happens. Also hemorrhoid cream/ointment will work. Just a small dot (it'll be greasy) but it will shrink the reddened area!

Put a large ice cube directly on the zit... make sure the ice has contact with your skin (don't use a towel). The ice will help the redness and swelling go down... by tomorrow the zit should be gone or greatly reduced in size. Trust me.... I used to do it all the time.

Take a hot towel and press it against the zit until the pore opens and the pus comes out. Then apply a spot treatment. Or if it doesn't work in time, use an OIL-FREE concealer.

Try makeup to cover it. But also ask the photographer if they can make an effort to cover it up with their photo retouching program. Most of the pix taken commercialy now are done with digital cameras and removing blemishes is a cinch. They might want an extra fee for that but it is worth it. (takes them about 60 seconds so they can't justify charging much for that service.)
