Please provide data to support your answer.
Note: I know he was born in New York, but I can not find any information in regards to his ancestry. In practice he is an American since he was born in USA, but I am interested in his parents' nationalities as well in order to determine his ancestry origins.

I've never heard of him, so I did a search on Wikipedia and found an astronaut by that name who was born in Lockport, New York. Of course, that would make him American. This article, however, does not say what nationality his ancestors are.

Yes he is. His parents come from city of Korca
