The local government is earning outrageous money off of property tax and industrial development in a city that used to be nothing but dairy farms, but we still have a lack of school funds (wonder why). The city's population has tripled in the last two decades, but there is a lack of new schools and some classes contain as much as 38 students. I'm a Freshman in high school and I'm already seeing problems with over population in schools. What's more, our teachers just got their first cost of living raise in the last three years, and they still earn 10,000 dolllars less than teachers in Orange County. So there you have it. What should I do?

Just to clarify with I love Duck..... The population growth is due to others moving into the city. Not having way to many babies!

You should be applauded for any role you take in the democratic process. Democracy needs dissension as well as supporters. it is not too early for you to enter the political arena if that is the route you choose. there are many committees, from political to neighborhood watch that you can become a part of to affect change. good for you!!

Find people who feel the same way you do and start a grass roots organization to help make change. If you go to a church go there and ask around. Your family friends and neighbors. It will be hard work. People who just sit on their backsides never get anything done.
