He has said, repeatedly, that he is not a jealous or possessive person and is a trusting person. So, if that's the case, then what can cause his behavior when he does it between one and three times a day?

Sorry about the typo. I meant to type the words "every time" and not "everytime".

i might ressemble to your boyfriend...

sometimes i also say that in the beginning of a telefone conversation with somebody i really like, because well, i really might have nothing else to say for a start, and because i think girls like to receive phone calls from a guy that likes them, i might also think that if i don't call her she will think she means nothing to me...wich is not true, so i must call, but what will i say? i just want to hear her voice, talk to her something and feel good at the end of the conversation......

maybe he just doesn feel the sense of securiness, however it doesnt mean that he doesnt really trust you

hope it helps

it means hes insecure about you this maybe OK in early days but what if you marry him will he be more controlling sort it out early so it wont become a serious problem later. This is a classic case of a possessive partner hope it works out good luck

Maybe you need a new boyfriend ; one who is not interested in what you are doing . He was probably just making small talk . Nothing to get defensive about .

just what he asks. What are you doing?
I ask my husband the same question every time I call him at work or where ever he may be.
Do you have a guilty conscience about something?

Well this is how I read it........

He is a jealous and/or possessive person and has problems trusting people.

Probably nothing, unless he keeps pressing for tiny details. Gee...I wish a guy would call me and show he's interested!

trust issues... did you do something to make him this way? or did you disclose something about your past to make him feel this way? or does he have issues w/ his own self esteem. this is something you 2 should address before it gets outta hand. communication is the key to a healthy relationship.

He is either very controlling or he cares about you. When I call my wife I ask what she is doing.
