I want to add drew brees and drop roethlesburger. I can't becasue:

A player has already played and is no longer editable for today. (Error #174)

Ben has already played this afternoon (week 3), and drew doesn't play till monday night. I don't want to use brees this week but next week. Do i have to wait till after monday night to pick up brees to use him for week 4?

It is more then just making the transaction after Monday night. Is it a Yahoo league? Is there any mention in the settings of your league on waiver settings? Some leagues you can make a move on Tuesdays, while ESPN you have to wait until Thursday (which is ridiculous).

If it is yahoo, you can only drop players that aren't currently active on your team. Let's say you wanted to drop Aaron Brooks (who is on bye and sucks horrendously) and pick up Brees. You could do that because neither of them are currently active in a roster as Brooks doesnt play this week and Brees' game isnt until tomorrow.

Yes you have to wait until Monday to drop players that you have already used that player...But if you had a guy on the bench you didn't want anymore then u can drop him for Brees man I just got rid of a benched player Veron Davis for another tight end cus he was hurt....get rid of someone off your bench.
