I dropped my LG VX 5200 cell phone in a lake. is there any chance of recovery?

I dropped my LG VX5200 in a lake on accident. i slipped on a rock. It can turn on and everything works except the left buttons and i cant get service. Is there any chance of recovery? Do you have any tips? PLZ HELP!

Take the battery out. Leave the phone open and let everything dry out. Often after a couple days, they will start working again. My daughter dropped one in the toilet once! It came back to life once it dried out.

1st Of all.....I hope u Didnt Try 2 Switch ON the Phone...................
Remove the Battery..............Open up ur Phone(i mean the Panel and all Removable Parts tat u can Remove)
Dry Up the Phone ....usin an HAIR DRYER.........or Keep it Under an YELLOW LIGHT....................Keep it 4 a Full Day..................Den Check if ur Phone Still has Some Moisture in it...........If it Dosent ......try Puttin all the Pieces Back 2gether.........and Switch the Phone ON................If its Wrkin.......den Thank me..................If its not....Take it 2 UR Fone Dealer....or ne LG Priority Shop......and Get it repaired...............Hav Fun

You could try any of the drying techniques but unless you have accident insurance on it you are out the cost of that phone.

take the battery out and let it sit out for a day or so, try it then. if that doesn't work- try blow drying it..If it still wont work you might be in trouble!
