the number or code you've dialed is incorrect, please check the message of code and try again....message 5-21-7

this is a number that appears in the Telephone Number Database as a number from oregon... but how come when i dial it i get the message above??

It sounds like a code from your telephone carrier. For example, when I had problems with a number when using Cingular, I would get a message "ND47 ..." I'd call their service number (usually 6-1-1 will get them) and ask them,

FYI - all phone numbers in Oregon begin with either and area code of 503 (Portland area) or 541 (the rest of the state).
