it depends if its kept cold or warm, and if the temperature has stayed constant or if its changed.

Beer is made by mashing malt grains and "hops" (some sort of grain that gives beer its flavor) and water together and boiling the mix. Then yeast is added and it is allowed to ferment - typically 2-3 weeks - the way it is fermented - the temperature - is
actually what gives beers the taste and makes the different types. (Ales, Lagers, Dark, Lite, Etc.)

so, if you put beer in a bottle, basically that beer is going to continue to ferment until you open it - and that's going to affect its over all taste.

what really matters is what you're used to and what you like. It also depends on what you're drinking and what the yeast content of the beer is. A less yeasty beer is going to ferment less after being bottled than a very yeasty one - not to mention yeast loves warm temperatures :)

So to maximize beer life, keep it cold.

Dark bottle in a dark cold place can mature and mellow over time. As long as the cap is completely airtight (waxed crown seals are best) then you can turn an average beer into something a little special over and up to a year.

Depends on how thirsty you are or how far away payday is. Seriously, it depends on storage, exposure to heat and a number of other factors. Check the date on the bottle. It'll give you a pretty good idea. If the date has passed give it to a neighbor or a visitor you want to get rid of.

Beer is NOT good in a bottle, it is good on the tongue, and best in the stomach.

For me its good for about 5 minutes, but in an unopened bottle, it should be good for a year.

110 days. On most beers, it says it's good for 110 days after the born on date. It might be okay, though, for a little longer after that.. Trust me though, if it's bad, you'll be able to taste it. It'll be really flat. It won't hurt you to drink it if it's not good, though.
