Try Alcoholics Anonymous and do everything you can to avoid the temptation to drink. There are other support groups that can help you, but this one has proven effective for many years.
Also, choose your companions wisely and don't attend parties or social gatherings where you know liquor will be available. Please try to be gentle with yourself, taking one day at a time and expect to become a very successful ex-alcoholic.
Remember to ask God for His help because with Him all things are possible, and never, never, never give up on yourself.
I wish you the best!

All these answers are good. Even if you're ashamed for others to know of your problem, you'll find a lot of support at AA from people who are just like you...admitting they have a problem and seeking help. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for your friends and family. You'll be glad you did.

go to a clinic or if you have a spouse, have him set up an allownace schedule for you. That will result in you having no money for alcohol. But a clinic will work best, but costs $$$$$.
