In health class, we were told that 1 in 600 children are born with an extra chromosome and both types of sexual organs. Who's faced this in life? How did you deal with it?

Im not a hemaphordite, but i read that alot of people dont know. Their parents and doctors decide for them what sex they will be.
They do any surgery nessacary to make them appear that sex, and then raise them that way, sometimes giving them hormones.
'They' seem pretty pissed off about this, rightfully so.
