Actually the Eskimos last missed the playoffs in 1971.
It is strange more than funny, since this will be the first
time in my life I won't see the Eskimos in the CFL playoffs.
They haven't been eliminated from the playoffs yet, but at
4-9 and the fact they are three wins behind the teams they
have to chase with five games left, it's almost a foregone
conclusion that it will happen.

Actually, they have not missed the playoffs since 1972, which is a string of 34 playoff appearances.
Not only are they going to miss the playoffs, they are doing it while having the best QB in the league and at at time the overall quality of play in the league is sinking to new lows.
More pathetic than funny.
