When I was in military I was in Texas on a CQ runner watch.
On the weekend.
In Texas.
Hotter than Hell.
nothing going on.
12 hour watch.
got a rubber band and whiled away the happy hours nailing them with that.
cut rubber band so it one long piece.
hold one end ...pull on other......aim at unsuspecting fly...let go of end.
Sometimes...if you can catch fly alive and uninjured....
put him in freezer for a minute.
take him out.
tie thread around hind leg of fly.
when fly warms up and starts flying...it'll look like you walking fly.

The first thing you need to do is seal up the doors and windows so the little devil can't slip out and bring back friends. Then, drag out your fly swatter and chase him round and round the room till your exhausted and give up. Or, since the life span of a house fly is so short, just keep an eye on him until he gasps, clutches his chest, and keels over of natural causes. Once it's all over, gather him up in a tissue and pitch him out the front door, which, of course, will let in another one and you can start all over again.

Every being on Earth has its purpose in life, and we would not do good to end its life just for the sake of our desire to keep things to ourselves.
So, you could always leave it alone, and let it mind its own business.
