Chavez would drop the price of oil to $50 a barrel, "not too high, a fair price," he said -- a third less than the $75 a barrel for oil recently posted on the spot market. That would bring down the price at the pump by about a buck, from $3 to $2 a gallon.
But our President has basically told Chavez to take his cheaper oil and stick it up his pipeline because Bush is an ignorant delayed hick and war criminal.
So we Americans lose and the power elite keep finding new and interesting ways to funnel your money up the pipe to their bank accounts.
VIVA CHAVEZ!!!

Chavez is lucky that his own countryman haven't killed him. What would you call a leader who has raped not only the US but most of the world with sky rocketing oil prices and yet is solely responsible for 85% poverty in his own country? Chavez is an ignorant uneducated monster who is deep into the drug market in South America. He is part of the heroin network that is killing thousands every day. Why would you cheer for someone like that? And explain to us all about Danny Glover's friendly relationship with this piece of sh*t?? Do us all a favor and really educate yourself before sticking your foot in your mouth.
VIVA THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!

Are you serious or are you just playing games with these questions and comments?
I love how you guys on the far left lionize dictators and tyrants like Chavez (and his hero Castro), as if they're the type of leader you'd really want to lead our country.
Do you have any idea how bad your life would be living under a repressive system? Do you know anything about hunger and poverty in Venezuela? Do you know anything about the lack of personal freedom and human rights in Venezuela?
Are you SO blinded by your childish anti-Bush rage that you'd praise ANYONE who calls him a name?
I defy you to write back and tell me what you and the Cindy Sheehans of the world find worthy of praise in Hugo Chavez. Answer this question: why doesn't Hugo have to build a fence to keep Americans out of Venezuela?

Hey communist. You are a traitor. The gas price is a problem because of the taxes, almost $1 a gallon in some states. Also, there are over 50 different blends. How about the fact that we do not drill for oil in America? How about the fact we have not built a new refinery in 30 years.
Anyone who supports Chavez is a traitor and should be removed from the country.

First off we only get about 1/5 th of our oil from Chaves so it would make a difference but not as big as you think. A few cents at best. For gas prices to drop a dollar ALL the oil would have to come in at the lower price.
Second.. Bush is an idiot. But he is our idiot. I do not like him but I love America and Chaves has insulted America. Only us americans have a right to speak bad about our President. He is an outsider, he does not have that right, and he did it in our home.
Third... There is tons of oil in our own country that would supply us for many, many years but the tree hugging, pot smoking liberal environmentialists who would choose saving an animal over a human keep stopping us from drilling.

I am guessing you think that we should open our arms to everyone like we do and just be happy that they crap on us like they do. I say lets get to drilling holes and provide our own oil. And while this is going on get off oil complety and help others get off oil as well. That would make Chavez and irans oil no longer needed and their country will go back to how they were before we helped them to get where they are today.

I'm just wondering whether the diesel pump will fit up Chavez's behind...cause I'd hate for the President to go with the unleaded pump when he could go a little bit bigger...

it is so interesting that you say bush did not apologized ,, i had just spoke to my dad who leaves in Colombia and he told me that in the news all they put is that Bush continuously apologizing to Chavez, my father even sayed that that Bush was humiliating him self so i am not sure what is going on i guess American news are very different from those that are shown in Colombia.

How very naive of you. If we would allow our own domestic companies drill in Alaska or off shore in california we wouldn't be dependant on anyones oil.
