Don't be afraid. I had three daughters and bought their full wardrobe long before they were born. I have grandchild number 7 on the way and the day I found out it was a boy, I went to baby's r us and bought him some little outfits.
The only one that we didn't have everything ready for was a preemie granddaughter. She came 2 months early so we weren't completely prepared.
Don't worry, I don't know of anyone that can wait until their baby is born to start buying clothes.....

No, buying clothes now is smart. This way you can pick up things on sale here and there and be prepared for when the baby is here. If this is your first baby though, you may not want to buy too much because someone will probably throw you a shower and you may end up with more than you will ever use. So save those reciepts

My Boyfriend and I bought clothes for our son at 22 wks when we found out it was a boy! We bought all the way up to size 12 months. We had a perfectly healthy 7 lb 12 oz blond hair blue eyed little boy! What I personally think would be worse is not being prepared at all and having nothing when your little bundle of joy arrives! You weigh it out, cute clothes and warm baby, or nothing and a cold baby!

No it's not true. most people buy most of what they need before the baby is born so that your prepared for when the baby arrives. Also most people have their baby showers before the baby is born so it's definitley not bad luck. Good Luck with your pregnancy.

i dont think it is bad luck at all
just remember dont buy a full wardrobe of strictly newborn sizes as babies tend to grow rather quickly
in fact i am not pregnant yet, but both hubby and i have had history of large babies on both sides so i have bought things no smaller that a six month size except for a few select items

Repeat after me: there is no such thing as luck.
By the way, if this really scares you, something tells me you're not ready to have a baby.

No, it would be stupid to wait to start buying clothes until after the baby was born. You need to be prepared.
