"Standard" room temp is between 72 - 74 degrees Farenheit. I don't know what that is in Celsius. I guess if it was 100 degrees in the room, then that would be the room's temperature, but not the comfortable temperature for a room.

Room temperature is generally at 70 degrees Farenheit, or 20 degrees Celsius, according to certain science reference material. This temperature may vary by a couple to a few degrees depending on which room you're in. I have no idea why the scientific community decided on this value for room temperature, other than the fact that for most people, 70 degrees is an optimum temperature for them while living inside their home or work place.
