Would you want the government to go back to the days of "laissez faire" policy and stay out of ppl's affairs??

What is your thoughts on this.. Do you think things worked so well when the government let individuals make their own success by managing the economy and the west?

I think the growth rate of the economy was a lot faster when the government was smaller.

I think the power of modern government attracts a lot of people who play favorites, so that the government itself is a lot more corrupt nowadays.

I don't think going bafck to "laissez faire" will solve many of the ills of society, but I think it will make us richer and more generous, and starve some theives out of Washington.

The government should not have resorted to a "global economy" -- that "laissez faire" policy is helping to destroy America but it does help certain people make more money.

I would love to see that happen, but unfortunately I think it is an impossible dream in the 21st century.

The world is so much smaller than it was in those days: anybody can fly across the continent at any time, and our borders are not closed off. The rest of the world wants to be here, to have what we have, or to punish us for being what we are... so we are obligated to be the world police. It's a matter of self-preservation now.

No. To turn back the clock to 'those good ole days,' really only makes sense to those that didn't live in 'those good ole days.' I enjoy everything i have available to me in this world and wouldn't want to turn back time for any reason. Advancements make new things good and old things better.
