Why? Because he represents main stream America? He shows well, or is it his even disposition and thoughtful answers?

I'd say the liberals are desperate to find a candidate that can win the next election. Considering that national security is by far the most important issue concerning most Americans, that is, after the economy, I'd say he is a rather poor choice.

The two areas of most concern, are not issues he has really ever addressed. Diplomacy is important, but certainly not the Clinton style of diplomacy. Clinton choose diplomacy as a substitute for national security. He believed that he could persuade international leaders to 'do nice',rather than war. He choose such luminaries as Madeline Albright, Sandy Berger, BILL Cohen, (the three wise men) to represent the US to the Arab world. Duh, what's wrong with this picture!
Barack Obama is probably more intelligent than Clinton but is there enough Hawk in him to act if his diplomacy theory falls on it's @ss? The other issue, the economy, is not one that Obama has spent a lot of time on either, so I see no real strengths, other than that, he is a nice man. I will say this, Obama would be 10 times the candidate that hillary would be!

Wow, you need some spelling lessons. i think Barack Obama will be a great president, but not in 2008. He has only just gotten elected to the Senate, give him until 2012 or 2016. He would be a great VP candidate for someone else though in 2008.

He should now that he has you giving a nice twist to his name. Barocko Bomma? Sounds like a new ice cream flavor. If you give that for free then you'll get plenty of votes. Especially from me.
Make it ice cream flavored pretzels and his running mate should be a good cook.

Barack Obama is a very good communicator. He is one of the best speakers I have heard among Democrats. Maybe he could be Al Gore's running mate. I hope Al Gore or Clinton will run.

Please check your spelling.

If he is qualified to run and wants to run, he should run. But hey, i live in america, so we got some funny ideas about things. whether he will be a good president or not is left up to history. we don't even have enough information to make that judgement.

I'd vote for him before I'd vote for Hillary, but that isn't saying a whole lot because I'd never vote for her. By the way: It's "president." Try that spell check thing next time. It's amazing!

Too soon for him. Not enough exposure. But he would make a great Vice Presidential candidate on the Democrat ticket= say with Hillary Clinton.

This is the worst typing/spelling job I've ever seen. Please tell me you're at least hopped up on painkillers or something. I weep for our educational system.

"Do you think Barack Obama should run for president in 2008? Who should his running mate be?"
