Hello, I am 24 yr old man who shamefully, embarassingly watches porn occasionally. I have been trying hard to totally cut off porn use but as a single guy with no woman, I find it very hard to resist occasional excitement of watching porn. I will keep working on it to stop though.
I was talking to a friend the other day and he told me there are substantial # of American women who won't tolerate porn in their marriage, family. Is this true? Do American women in general consider porn evil, bad, as something that should not be present at home?
I would appreciate any insights or feedbacks.

I think Yvonne said it best, find someone with compatible interests as you and all is good! Some dislike it and some like it. As long as you are upfront and the two of you can come to a mutual agreement that both can live with, you'll have a great relationship. good luck!

I can't believe that people consider watching porn cheating! Porn can be used as a stimulant within your relationship and does not have to be a "wedge" through it. Find yourself a woman with a brain and an ounce of self-esteem and there will be no problem. I love porn, I watch it at least once a week because I enjoy it and I find that it helps me unwind. I also have sex with my husband, so it is not used as a substitute as some might say. We use it as a healthy extra in our sex life and sometimes when the other is not up for it, porn is used for self-gratification. I can't believe the prudes out there! lol

In general, no. Most western women will NOT tolerate porn in their households. Many see it as a degrading form of fake sex which has nothing to do with real life and which damages the wife's sense of self-esteem. Generally if a wife finds porn belonging to her husband, that husband is going to really regret having it because he won't be having any intimacy with his wife for a LONG time.

Single men have some sort of excuse. But it would be much better if you would collect intelligent written erotica instead. Stuff like Anais Nin is erotic and you can display it on your bookshelves proudly, because it's also great literature and widely recognized as such. So perhaps ditch the porn, and collect the erotica.

Some would. There is nothing embarrassing about watching porn sometimes, especially if you're single! The only thing people should not forget when viewing those movies is it's sometimes exaggerated. When you find the one you love, when you get to a little low in excitement you can talk to her about it and let her choose the one she likes. Don't force her to choose one neither, she has to be in the mood for it!

Depends on the woman.. I personally think porn is a huge wedge in a marriage, because when u take marriage vows ur to forsake all other but ur spouse, and to lust over women in a porn movie, mags, or on the computer isnt holding up your end of your vows.. to me it is very evil.. i dont see where porn in a marriage can actually be benificial.. and if u believe in the bible and what it says then u would know that its very much against porn and lusting after others when ur married.. when ur single do whatever u want.. but get it out of ur system before u marry someone, ur spouse is suppose to be on a pedestal and feel as if no other can ever compare to them , they are suppose to be the one and only for u.. so if u cant give that to ur spouse then u shouldnt be married in the first place..

As long as your not talking about child porn, I say go for it, just don't hurt yourself. My husband has some porn, but I've never actually seen him with it. As long as he waits until he is alone to entertain himself, I don't care, he's a normal adult male, with normal adult interests. I've known women who enjoy it with their spouses. I personally think it's dumb, but everyone has their own opinion. If its important to you, be upfront about it. You can certainly find all kinds in America. The successful relationship is the one that shares in tastes, or is tolerant of the others individuality. Theirs no need, as a single man to change yourself for someone you've never met. Find someone compatible and be yourself!
