Assuming Ontario, California, not Canada...
If you are looking for low fares, try Southwest first, then research elsewhere. If you use Southwest, get your boarding pass online, in advance - if you check in up to 24 hours in advance of your flight, you will get "A" seating, the first choice of seats and overhead compartments.
It's been a while, but I believe that they have a daily flight from Ontario to Philadelphia.

take united or Air Canada.
You can also look into flying into Allentown. 1hr from Phila but small regional airport with good service and direct routes to Phila.
