I live in the state of California, my neighboors have the habit of having a party every weekend. At first I was okay with it, but it's gotten a little out of hand. They always play there music soo loud, that I cant even hear my own T.V. I've called the police plenty of times and they seem to do nothing about it. Is there a law or something I can do for them to keep it down or minimized they special events? (other than me shooting there speakers). Can I sue them??
P.S. I've tried going over and telling them to keep it down (they dont care)

I'm an attorney in California and I've actually handled these types of lawsuits before. Most cities have noise abatement laws and often have community code enforcement departments that handle this on a more regular basis. Check to see if your city has such a department. The police don't really have the resources to worry about minor offenses like this.
If you can't get any help for the code compliance officers, then you can like a local mediation service. Neighborhood mediation services a can often help neighbors resolve their difference.
As a last resort, you can file an "abatement of nuisance" lawsuit. You can sue in small claims for damages caused by the excessive noise or you can file in superior court to seek an injunction against the excessive noise.
Litigation is always a last resort because of the potential for bad blood between neighbors and of course the $$$ you would have to spend on legal fees.

I don't know about California? I live in Arizona. I had the same problem except my neighbors were partying every night of the week. They had a punk band in their living room with two 5 ft tall speakers, microphones and instruments. It was terrible. I called the police 18 times, and then finally after 6 months I filed a police report. We went to court with them and they had to pay a fine of $500, and move out immediately. File a report and see what happens? My noisy neighbors were just renters, so that might be why it was so easy? I don't know if yours are renters or not?
Good Luck!

People are supposed to turn their noise levels down after 10PM , but on weekends so many folks are having a good time that the police officers would rather focus on more serious situations where someone's life or property may be in danger. Unfortunately, you are cursed with some very inconsiderate neighbors and you must work this problem out between you and them to the best of your ability.

I see no rationalization so which you would be able to tug out of your very own driveway any in yet in any different case than the subsequent individual. considering which you may in no way tell if the different vehicle is going to %. this 2nd to run a quit sign, i think of you may quit on the foot of your driveway, in the previous your vehicle enters the line, examine all 3 streets, then end retreating and bypass on your way. there is not any reason interior the international to back up farther, till you're at between the quit signs and indications.

Depending on the City or Town you live in. Yes laws are on the books.
Try

and click on your city, then look under crimes against a person or breach of peace?
